She married Francis Emerson Shimer Sr. in Angola, Indiana, January 1, 1889. (Francis Emerson Shimer Sr. is #176.) Francis was born in Gilead, Michigan November 26, 1854. Francis was the son of John Shimer and Hannah Haskins. Francis died December 18, 1918 in Elkhart, Indiana, at 64 years of age. Francis's occupation: blacksmith. Francis became the father of Emmet Shimer ABT 1874. At 24 years of age Francis became the father of Nellie M. Shimer in Mendon, Michigan, SEP 1879. At 28 years of age Francis became the father of Francis Emerson Shimer Jr. in Butler, Indiana, September 21, 1883. At 34 years of age Francis became the father of Defsie Shimer in Butler, Indiana, 19 SEP 1889. At 37 years of age Francis became the father of Bessie Pamillie Shimer in Elkhart, Indiana, February 18, 1892. At 39 years of age Francis became the father of Myrtle Adelphia Shimer in Elkhart, Indiana, April 8, 1894.

At 29 years of age Jennie became the mother of Defsie Shimer in Butler, Indiana, 19 SEP 1889. At 32 years of age Jennie became the mother of Bessie Pamillie Shimer in Elkhart, Indiana, February 18, 1892.

Jennie C. Pinchin and Francis Emerson Shimer Sr. had the following children:
